Suppliers and SMEs
Customers who report on their value chain send questionnaires, often several in a quarter, with overlapping topics and different definitions. From financial year 2027, what they may require for their sustainability reporting from suppliers with up to 1,000 employees is limited to the value-chain cap.
ESG and reporting teams
Teams that report under the revised ESRS or the Voluntary Standard, often alongside GRI or IFRS, need to know which datapoints apply in which year and what evidence supports them.
Consultancies and advisors
Consultancies and researchers compare standards for many clients and need relationships they can check and reuse.
Public bodies and regions
Cities and regions want to show local progress and connect the organisations and communities working on it.
Communities and initiatives
Programmes, pilots, communities and campaigns want to make their goals and progress visible and keep a record of what they have done.
By need
Answer customer questionnaires
A customer's questionnaire mixes requests for its sustainability reporting with requests for other purposes, such as due diligence.
Prepare for the Voluntary Standard
The Voluntary Standard (Delegated Regulation (EU) 2026/1560) sets a Basic and a Comprehensive Module, and its Annex II defines the value-chain cap.
Move to the revised ESRS
The revised ESRS (Delegated Regulation (EU) 2026/1563) apply to financial years from 1 January 2027, with optional use for 2026; the ESRS as amended by Delegated Regulation (EU) 2025/1416 apply to 2025 and 2026.
Align GRI, IFRS and ESRS
Teams that use several frameworks want to prepare information once and see where definitions differ.
